SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

You can barely open the gate at Pricilla Nicholas’s home in Saginaw.

“And I can't get out in conditions like this, when the snow is up like this,” Nicholas said.

Nearly a foot of snow fell last night, keeping Nicholas stuck inside, but she has places to go.

“Today I need to go to my bank, or credit union, and my medicine at Walgreens,” Nicholas said.

There is a ton of snow in her driveway and walk, but she can’t shovel it off by herself.

“I had back surgery a few years ago, so it's hard for me to get out and shovel the snow and be able to maintain myself afterward, I would be in a lot of pain,” Nicholas said.

Even the steps walking up to her door can be dangerous with this much snow, she needs help shoveling out.

Nicholas reached out to the TV5 Shovel Squad, looking for a good Samaritan to help her out.

“I have a very long driveway and my sidewalk is also long, so it makes it hard to get out, even if I could get out there,” Nicholas said. “It's time consuming, and it would hurt my back.”

She said if she got some neighborly help, it would ease her mind.

“It would mean the world to me, so much. It would mean the world to me,” Nicholas said.

Our TV5 photographer Adam Young ran over to Nicholas's home to personally shovel her driveway.
