SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Jeanne Taber just one of many drivers who fell victim to Saginaw's snow-covered surface streets.

"I was stuck," Taber said.

Many of them, like Taber, had to be pushed out.

"They've been bad. A bunch of people had to get dug out," said Stephen Holmes.

But why, 24 hours after the storm climaxed, are the roads still so bad?

Simeon Martin is chief foreman of the Saginaw city plow crews.

"I say by morning we'll have all of them done," Martin said.

He said a handful of trucks have been making round the clock runs since the storm hit.

The storm caught them a little off guard and he wants to assure residents still waiting to get dug out that they'll be handled soon.

"There's always help on the way," Martin said. "What we try to do in Saginaw is, we never start in the same spot because ultimately someone has to be first and someone has to be last."

Snow was piled sky high in the middle of Washington Avenue in Bay City. Not a surprise after the foot of snow that fell in the area.

For Saginaw driver Taber, she's just glad TV5 was around to help her get unstuck.

"You fellas really helped me get out," Taber said.
