GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Luke Hart is like many of the students in Clio, simply in shock.

"A lot of disbelief," Hart said.

Hart is a member of the junior varsity basketball team.  On Tuesday, his coach, Tim Hibbard died suddenly while clearing snow.

"He just never gave up on you. You know it was just that extra support. You know he was a great guy," Hart said.

Hibbard's death comes just days after Lyndsey Piesko, a volunteer volleyball coach, passed away. Hannah Benner said she can't believe it.

"It was shocking. I didn't know what to do at first. Like it didn't seem real. It still doesn't seem real. It's sad," Benner said.

Benner said Piesko was an asset to the team.

"She was a great person all around. She was a great coach," Benner said. "She tried to keep everyone happy, positive, no matter what the situation was."

To honor the memory of both coaches there will be a moment of silence at the beginning of the freshmen, JV and varsity games as the Mustangs take on Owosso.

"It's going to be very hard and maybe just kind of like settling in that it's real and actually happening," said Sarah Wilkinson.

Wilkinson will be at the games and said she can't imagine what the next volleyball season will be like without Piesko.

"She was very thoughtful. She was always thinking of others and she was always putting other people first," Wilkinson said.

The basketball games will be played. Matt Brackroug said his team will work hard to honor their fallen leader.

"I think it will motivate us to play better. Leave it all on the court," Brackroug said.

Hart said he believes Hibbard left a positive impact on his life both on and off the hardwood.

"I love him and he's been a huge part in making me grow up from just a boy to a young man," Hart said.
