BIRCH RUN, MI (WNEM) -

Ohio Gov. John Kasich is starting to see a rise in the polls.

On Saturday, Kasich was in Mid-Michigan speaking at the Michigan Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Dinner, hosted at the Birch Run Expo Center.

Kasich said he expects his poll numbers to continue to rise because he’s not taking part in the personal attacks between the other Republican candidates.

“I’m not going to take part in that – zero,” Kasich said.

Kasich has been making the rounds in Michigan, starting on Saturday in Traverse City and squeezing a stop in Marquette on Sunday afternoon.
