FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A man was run over by a vehicle used to haul luggage at Bishop International Airport in Flint.

Airport spokeswoman Pat Corfman tells TV5 that the man was pinned down by the vehicle he had been driving at around 6:30 a.m.

The man, who works as a subcontractor with the company G2 Secure Staff, was taken to Hurley Medical Center. His condition is unclear.

"Our first priority is the welfare of our employee and secondly understanding the details surrounding the incident.  Our preliminary investigation reveals a single vehicle accident, including the injured employee driving.   Appropriately, our thoughts and ongoing support are completely focused on our employee’s speedy recovery from this incident." G2 Secure Staff Director Cindy Ford.

The incident delayed a Southwest Airlines flight headed to Tampa.

An investigation is underway.
