ISABELLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

One person was pinned under a vehicle, another had to be rescued with the Jaws of Life after a two-vehicle crash.

It happened this morning at E. Blanchard Road and S. Wise in Isabella County.

Investigators say that a Chevy Suburban driven by Shaun Aldrich of Midland failed to yield the right of way while going northbound on Wise Road and hit a Kia Sportage driven by Mary-Louise Greening of Shepherd.

The impact forced both vehicles into a field.

Original 911 calls said Aldrich was ejected and pinned under a vehicle. By the time responders got to the scene, bystanders had removed him.

Greening was trapped in her vehicle and had to be cut out. Her 15-year-old son was also in the vehicle, but only had minor injuries.

Aldrich is currently at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids, although his condition is unclear.

Greening was flown to St. Mary’s in Saginaw, her condition is also unclear.

Her 15-year-old son was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
