A local school held a unique event to give students a chance to experience something different in the classroom.

Arrow Quest at Arrowwood Elementary in Saginaw Township hosted community members from across the state came to the school to teach students about different careers.

That includes fields in the arts and sciences, like fingerprinting and studying birds.

“It is great to have the community leaders come out and also it’s a great opportunity for kids to see things that they wouldn’t see in a tradition classroom,” said fourth-grade teacher Melissa Hebl. “It sometimes will open a door or a window tom something that they wouldn’t have experienced on a typical day.”

This was the 15th annual Arrow Quest event hosted by the elementary school.
