Driver in fatal crash identified

SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

One person has died after a driver lost control, crossed the center line and hit another vehicle.

It happened Wednesday, at 3:50 p.m. on M-52 near Epton Road in Shiawassee County’s Rush Township.

Michigan State Police tell TV5 that the driver of a Plymouth Voyager crossed the center line and was hit by a Toyota Highlander.

The driver of the Highlander, a 49-year-old unidentified woman, was taken to a Saginaw hospital.

The driver of the Voyager, 33-year-old Christina Marie Beehler, from Else, was critically hurt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for a short time following the crash. It is still under investigation.
