LANSING, MI (WNEM) -

A Michigan lawmaker is trying to pass a bill that would allow hunters to wear pink.

Under current laws, hunters have to wear orange while they are out in the woods. The new law would allow hunters to either wear orange or pink.

The bill is sponsored by state Rep. Lisa Lyons. She introduced the bill to the House on March 17.

Lyons wants to amend the existing law to allow hunters the option between hunter orange and hunter pink.

The House has not voted on the bill yet.
