VASSAR, MI (WNEM) -

Heavy rain lead to some flood advisories in part of Mid-Michigan on Monday.

In Vassar, the Cass River is high, but so far residents say the flooding around their homes isn’t too bad. Especially since some work was done on the drainage around town.

Flood advisories expired at 10 a.m. But we are expecting more rain later this week.

While the Cass River is high, and expected to continue rising, the National Weather Service says it shouldn’t hit flood stage this week.

Most residents aren’t too worried yet about flooding in their homes, but say that could be a different story if heavy rain continues.
