HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -

Authorities say one boater has died and another was rescued after a boat capsized in Anchor Bay.

The Macomb County sheriff's department says the 15-foot aluminum boat was spotted Wednesday night and one man was pulled from the water by another boater. The department in southeastern Michigan says he was taken to a hospital for treatment of hypothermia.

The department says a dive team later found the body of 60-year-old Brad Kirby Thacker of Warren.

The hospitalized boater was identified as a 39-year-old from Macomb Township. The department says he's expected to survive.

The Detroit News reports the boat was about 1,000 yards from a Michigan Department of Natural Resources boat launch near Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township. Authorities say the water temperature was around 40 degrees.
