A man trying to avoid a deer ended up rolling his vehicle.

It happened on March 31 at 8:30 a.m. on Decker Road near Walker Road in Sanilac County’s Marlette Township.

Investigators say that a 58-year-old man from Peck tried to avoid the deer, went into the ditch, got back on the road and rolled the 2004 Chevrolet Colorado.

He was wearing his seatbelt and was taken to Marlette Regional Hospital.

The driver’s name is being withheld pending his arraignment on charges relating to the incident.
