FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A group that promotes access to healthy foods wants to inspire people to join the cause.

Edible Flint held its annual meeting tonight at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

In light of the Flint water crisis, the theme was “Taking Back Our Health.”

"There's a lot of things we can't control as citizens, and there's some things we can, and eating healthy and growing our own vegetables is something that we can control," said Sam Farah, Edible Flint.

The featured speaker was Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, whose work helped bring national publicity to the crisis.
