FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Residents have become frustrated with the lack of results coming from the governor’s closed door meetings with the Flint water task force.

"I think there is a lot of talking and not a lot of action," said Anna Winglemire.

The governor was not able to attend Friday’s meeting, instead, members of his cabinet took center stage.

Some said the political posturing was obvious.

"I wouldn't want anyone at this table look at Mission Flint as kind of a group that's just doing stuff and not connected," said Richard Baird, executive office of the governor.

Flint Mayor Karen Weaver said she is concerned about the lack of communication between the city, county, state and federal health agencies in the aftermath of the crisis.

"We need to get that information and we haven't been getting good information as well it does need to be a coordinated effort," Weaver said.

Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Director Keith Creagh said he’s seeing progress.

"We've made great progress we are having good community conversations," Creagh said.

But Creagh also said more can be done.

"I would remind individuals that progress is slow and we appreciate people’s patience but we are making progress," Creagh said.

But that progress might not be as obvious to residents.

"It's dying down a little bit the outrage is no longer visible," Winglemire said. "The campaign has left after the primaries. I feel like so have people’s concerns with the water issue, nothing getting done. You see private companies, private organizations doing something about the water, and the city and the state – nothing is going on. I think it's gotten very quiet."
