The Michigan State Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect and a suspect vehicle in a hit and run accident.

The incident happened on March 27 about 3:40 p.m. on W. Herrick Road near N. Vandecar Road in Isabella County's Gilmore Township.

The suspect pulled up behind the victim's vehicle at a stop sign, revved its engine and struck the rear end of the victim's vehicle, police said. The suspect then backed up and fled the scene.

The victim's vehicle sustained minor damage, police said.

Police are looking for an early 2000 Chevy/GMC S-10/Sonoma type truck. The vehicle is white and the back window is covered in blue tarp.

The suspect was described as a white male in his late teens or early 20s with sandy brown hair.

If you have any information on the identity of the driver or the vehicle contact the MSP-Mt. Pleasant Post at 989-773-5951.
