Man arrested following 7 hour standoff with police

GLADWIN COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A man was arrested after a seven and a half hour standoff with police.

It happened on the 3000 block of Shock Road in Gladwin County's Tobacco Township on April 5.

The suspect barricaded himself in a four-door vehicle and was in possession of a loaded 20-gauge shotgun, the Gladwin County Sheriff's Office said.

The suspect surrendered to law enforcement about 6 p.m. He has been lodged in the Gladwin County Jail.

He is being held without bond for two felony charges related to the incident.
