LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A local man arrested, accused of having heroin and driving on a suspended license.

Lapeer City Police were called to a home on Dewey Street on April 8 for a disturbance. A group of people took off, and a vehicle believe to be related to the disturbance was spotted a short time later.

Once the driver was pulled over, the 25-year-old driver from Lapeer was found to have a suspended license. When he was taken into custody officials say they found heroin, rolled in paper, in his pocket.

A 21-year-old passenger from Millington was arrested for marijuana.

Names haven’t been released. At last check the driver was still in the Lapeer County Jail.
