SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Two new cute animals have arrived at the Saginaw Children’s Zoo.

The two baby Shire horses are replacing Bonnie and Josie who passed away in October.

Bonnie and Josie, both Clydesdale horses, were at the zoo for almost 10 years before their passing. They died to age-related ailments, the zoo said.

The new horses are named April Dawn and May Flowers Fancy and were born last spring on a farm in Darlington, Missouri.

Zoo members can be among the first to welcome the new horses at its Members Only Weekend on April 16 and 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The general public will get to meet the horses starting on April 23.

The zoo is located at 1730 S. Washington Ave. in Saginaw.
