LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Calls about a driver acting “intoxicated” lead to a cocaine discovery.

It started at 7:04 a.m. on April 8.

Lapeer County 911 got calls about a woman pumping gas at the Marathon Gas Station at Davison and Elba Road in Lapeer who appeared to be intoxicated.

Deputies were able to catch up with her, and a 49-year-old woman from Lapeer was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated.

Deputies also say cocaine was found in a section of folded paper stored in a prescription bottle in her purse.

The investigation is ongoing.
