LANSING, Mich. (AP) -

A 24-year-old Lansing woman charged in her 2-month-old son's death has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

The Lansing State Journal reports Alexandra Alexi also pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree child abuse. She had been charged with murder, first-degree child abuse, third-degree child abuse, and torture in Julian Alexi's 2014 death.

According to an autopsy report, the cause and manner of the infant's death was homicide from complications from head trauma.

A plea deal calls for a minimum sentence of 27 1/2 years in prison. Sentencing for Alexi is scheduled for May 11.
