FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

As the Detroit Pistons prepare for the playoffs, owner Tom Gores is working on his own race.

Gores has teamed up with Huntington Bank to provide $25 million in loans to small businesses and individuals in Flint during the city’s water crisis.

"The economy is really affected. It's not just the people. The worst thing is obviously the kids affected by the lead, but the economy long-term has already been impacted, and I don't think they could take another blow," Goes said.

The FlintNOW program also teaches children and adults about business and money management.
