Police identify men injured in head-on crash

MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

Two men are in the hospital after a head-on crash on M-20.

It happened about 12:45 Wednesday morning near Vance road in Midland.

Police said Cody Cantrell, 19, of Mt. Morris, was driving east in a sedan, and Jeffrey Arnold, 26, of Shepherd, was driving west in a pick-up truck. Cantrell was driving in the westbound lane at the time of the accident.

When police arrived, Cantrell was trapped inside of his vehicle.

Cantrell is in critical condition and Arnold is in stable condition.

The crash is under investigation, but police do not suspect alcohol was involved.

M20 was shut down for several hours between Main Street and Homer Road following the crash, but has since reopened.
