U of M Flint to host Earth Day celebration

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

The University of Michigan Flint will be hosting a fun and educational event in celebration of Earth Day.

The event will features a variety of activities that bring awareness to conserving the planet. The main event will be held at the Harding S.Mott University Center where visitors can indulge in live music while taking in the sites of a recycled art competition and live animal exhibits. The event will also feature informational discussions on healthy eating and sustainable living practices.

U of M's Recreation Center will be renting out bicycles for the community to participate on a guided tour of the city.

A group of Native American tribes also invite participants to attend a Water Ceremony and Unity Gathering at the Flint River.

The celebration kicks off this Saturday and will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
