BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

A woman could be the face of the $20 bill.

Sources said the Treasury Department will make that announcement this week.

The department recently decided to keep Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill, but now it's aiming at removing Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill.

Last summer the feds said it was time to take Hamilton off the $10 bill and replace him with a woman. Hamilton fans said no way, especially after a hip-hop Broadway musical about his life this year was a smash hit.

On the other hand, Jackson is vilified for being a slave owner and carrying out war against Native Americans. But he does have his supporters.

With the expected announcement coming this week, the actual change would not happen until the year 2030.
