Grandma seeks help with yard work after neighbors complain

Posted: Updated:

A local grandmother is looking for help after several trees are down in her backyard.

It has become a nuisance in her neighborhood.

Mammie Jones lives alone and gets by on a restricted income. The trees fell awhile ago, but with no one to help, she couldn't remove them. Her neighbors have started to complain.

"There's no way I could do this by myself," Jones said.

She is hoping someone will give her a helping hand.

"I only get $1,000 a month [from] social security. I don't get anything else. That's all I get," Jones said.

Jones said it could easily cost her more than $900 to remove the tree and debris from her Saginaw backyard and she simply cannot afford it.

She said she tries to keep up with her lawn as best as she can, but somethings she just can't do.

Jones said she is praying for help. She doesn't have family nearby and since it has been several years since the trees fell, her neighbors are starting to complain.

"I would appreciate somebody helping me get my tree limps cut and cut the tree limbs. I would just appreciate that very much. Because I can't do it myself and I have no one to help me," Jones said.

If you want to help Jones call 989-758-2044.
