Two K9 units were called to a Mid-Michigan high school Tuesday afternoon after a threat was found in a bathroom stall.

A student discovered the threatening message in a boy's bathroom stall about 1:30 p.m. at Bullock Creek High School.

The school went into secure mode and the Midland County Sheriff's Department was called to the scene to investigate. They brought two K9 units with them.

The students were kept in classrooms while the entire school was searched, according to Superintendent Shawn Hale.

It was determined the school was safe and the students were released at the end of the school day.

Another search was performed after the students went home. Both searches turned up empty, Hale said.

The school sent a letter home to parents informing them of the incident.
