OAKLAND COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The man charged in connection with the death of a Michigan State Trooper made a brief court appearance on Thursday.

Charles Warren Jr., from Waterford, was scheduled for a pre-trial hearing in Pontiac.

Warren is accused of driving into Trooper Chad Wolf’s motorcycle last August at Dixie Highway and I-75 in northern Oakland County.

Investigators say Wolf was dragged for miles before Warren pulled over.

He faces reckless driving and other charges.

After a brief discussion between Warren's attorney and the judge, a continuance was granted.

Warren is scheduled to be back in court on June 2.
