BURTON, MI (WNEM) -

An investigation into a local superintendent has turned up nothing.

The Bentley Community Schools Board of Education says that allegations of Superintendent Rebekah Dupuis having a sexual encounter with another employee at the school are unsubstantiated.

Dupuis was put on administrative leave during the investigation, she has since been reinstated.

She did however request that her contract not be extended so she can find a different job; something the district says she determined to be in her professional and family’s best interest.

The district was dealing with two separate issues this year, one involving Dupuis, the other involving Athletic Director Jeremy Trent.

Trent was fired for making an inappropriate comment about a student.

Dupuis will work until June 30 and help the district transition to new leadership.
