ALLEGAN TOWNSHIP, MI (AP) -

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction following vandalism that destroyed a new "Turkey Tracts" kiosk at Allegan State Game Area in western Michigan.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says Friday the reward is being offered by the National Wild Turkey Federation.

The DNR says the sign in Allegan County was vandalized April 15, just a few days after the opening of Michigan's first "Turkey Tracts" site was celebrated.

"Turkey Tracts" are unique turkey hunting areas across the Lower Peninsula that provide hunting opportunities for a variety of hunters, including youth, adults new to the sport, veterans with disabilities and seniors. The kiosk included helpful information for hunters.
