Police investigating alleged sex crime on CMU's campus

MT. PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -

The investigation continues into an alleged case of third-degree sexual assault on Central Michigan University’s campus.

The incident allegedly happened on April 17 in Trout Hall, but it wasn’t reported to Central Michigan University Police until April 22.

Investigators say a suspect has been identified.

The incident has been forwarded to the Isabella County Prosecutor's office for review.

It has also been reported to the Office of Civil Rights and Institutional Equity.
