Mother's Day Weekend Weather

Posted: Updated:
SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

If you haven't remembered, here's your friendly reminder that Mother's Day is just around the corner, arriving this Sunday May 8th. Luckily, you still have plenty of time to figure out how you'll show that special motherly figure in your life how much you appreciate her.

We all have different ways of showing our appreciation for Mom, but if your plans usually involved the outdoors, things are looking pretty nice for Sunday. But we all have different schedules, so we've provided your full weekend forecast below.

And of course, to all the great Mother's out there, we thank you for all that you do!

Friday

After rain on Wednesday and lingering cloud cover Thursday, conditions improve as we head on into the weekend. Skies will return to partly to mostly sunny conditions and we'll see a nice warm up as well.

Highs on Friday will push into at least the upper 60s, if not 70. Any early weekend plans for Mom on Friday evening should go on without weather interruption, and temperatures should be comfortable for the evening.

Saturday

Saturday will be the lone hiccup in an otherwise nice weekend. At this point, showers and thunderstorms appear to be scattered throughout the day. Severe weather with any thunderstorms is not expected at this time. We'll of course keep you posted if that changes.

Showers should end Saturday evening, and we'll trend drier for the rest of the weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 70s.

Mother's Day

With the rainfall arriving earlier than prior thinking on Saturday, Mother's Day continues to look better and better. While temperatures on Mother's Day will be a bit cooler than Friday and Saturday, we'll still be in the middle and upper 60s.

Sunshine will more than make up for the slightly cooler temperatures, with partly to mostly sunny skies expected throughout the day.
