Mid-Michigan results for May 3 election

MID-MICHIGAN (WNEM) -

There were about a dozen small elections in Mid-Michigan on May 3.

A write-in candidate in Beaver Township won with 58 percent of the vote.

Steven Gray was elected the township supervisor. He ran a write-in campaign against William Retzloff. Retzloff was the only name that appeared on the ballot.

Gray received 226 votes and Retzloff received 162 votes.

The previous supervisor died in December.

Beaver Township is located in Bay County.

  • Caseville Public Schools' building and site bond proposal failed.
  • Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools' bonding proposal was passed.
  • Unionville-Sebewaing Area Schools' millage proposal, building and site sinking fund tax levy was passed.
  • Swartz Creek city's street proposal was passed.
  • Mt. Morris Schools' operating millage was passed.
  • Joe Warr and Tim Edwards were elected to the Au Gres City Council.
  • Au Gres' mosquito control millage renewal was passed.
  • Birch Run Area Schools' operating millage renewal proposal was passed.
  • Mt. Pleasant Public Schools' bonding proposal was passed.
  • Clare-Gladwin Area Career and Tech Education proposal was passed.
  • Linden Schools' sinking fund was passed.
  • Flushing Schools' bond proposition failed.
