SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

We’re learning more about a man that allegedly attacked a homeowner and forced his way inside the home all while naked.

Saginaw Police responded to a call on May 5 and found a man naked, bleeding and destroying property.

It took nearly a dozen police officers to subdue the man at 3813 Lamson Street. The used every non-lethal weapon in their arsenal, including tasers and bean bag guns. In the end they were able to subdue the man without the use of deadly force.

A caller said a 22-year-old man, now identified as Kenneth Reed, had attacked her husband in the driveway, punched him multiple times and punched out a vehicle window, despite the victim hitting him with the brick.

When the woman went into her house to call 911 she said Reed followed her inside.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the man, who had no connection to the homeowners, inside causing destruction.

Officers said the man wouldn’t follow any commands and they were forced to use a Taser. Reed went down, but was back up after a few seconds and officers used the device again. When that didn’t work, officers report they pulled out a bean bag gun and took him down.

Reed was then handcuffed and restrained.

"The police, they were all around the house when I came out. Someone knocked on the door," said Charlene Snead, neighbor.

“I am very proud of our road sergeants and patrol officers for utilizing their training and identifying the mental state that this suspect was in. They used good discretion, proper tactics, and less lethal force to make a sound arrest," Chief Ruth said.

Reed was arraigned on four charges on May 9. They include home invasion, assault and battery, assault of a police officer- resisting and obstructing arrest and malicious destruction of personal property.
