SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a crash that sent one man to the hospital, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers were called to Bishop Road, near Ferden Road in Saginaw County’s Maple Grove Township at 5:10 a.m. on May 8.

Investigators say a 25-year-old Chesaning man lost control of his pickup, hit a power pole, and a tree before coming to a stop.

He was taken to the hospital with what are described as non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.
