FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Flint's image across the country and the world is taking a hit during the ongoing water crisis, but a movement quietly gaining steam in Flint is looking to change that.

Billboards along I-75 are not advertising the #FlintFWD campaign. The group hopes to spark conversation about their goal.

Jocelyn Hagerman is the woman behind the movement, along with her husband Phil the founder of Diplomat Pharmacy.

The goal is to switch gears and take Flint in a new direction beyond the water crisis. The billboards help change the narrative for anyone passing through the area on I-75.

"It's by the people and for the people and it's very inclusive and anybody can be a part of it," Hagerman said.

The goal is also to share positive stories about Flint using #FlintFWD.
