SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A threat forced a Mid-Michigan hospital into lockdown Wednesday afternoon.

The threat was made against Covenant HealthCare and caused the Cooper and Harrison facilities into “Code Platinum Lockdown”.

Spokeswoman Kristin Knoll said that means they have added security in place, but visitors are still allowed in and out of the building.

It’s unclear if a patient or employee made the threat, but Knoll reports the suspect has been located.

It is still unclear if that person is in police custody.

The exact nature of the threat is also unclear at this time.

Covenant release a statement shortly after 4:30 p.m. saying the code had been lifted, but they would keep enhanced security measures in place.
