FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Flint Mayor Karen Weaver is firing back at the city's former administrator over allegations she fired her over a personal vendetta.

Natasha Henderson claims she was let go for blowing the whistle when charity dollars were re-directed to a fund set up by the mayor.

Where is the money? That's the million dollar question at city hall and many residents' patience are starting to run thin.

"I just think that more should have been done. I'm disappointed in leadership," said Yvette Martin, former aid to Weaver.

Martin worked for Weaver when she was running for mayor. Martin said she is annoyed with what she calls a phony lawsuit filed by Henderson. That suit accuses Waver of diverting money donated for the water crisis to her campaign fund.

"Am I shocked? Yes. Have I ever noticed of seen anything? No," Martin said.

Weaver is fighting back against those allegations.

"I want to personally state that legal counsel for the city will be responding to the allegations and outrageously false claims being asserted against the city and me by Ms. Henderson," Weaver said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

While the mayor's integrity is being challenges, activists like Arthur Woodson want to know exactly where that money went.

"People keep on suing the city of Flint you know, because the administration keeps on putting the cart before the horse," Woodson said.
