SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Three people were injured in an accident involving two vehicles on Wednesday.

It happened about 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of M-19 and Marlette Road in Sanilac County’s Watertown Township.

Matthew Bailey, 40, of Applegate, was driving a 2007 Chrysler minivan westbound on Marlette Road. Heather Bailey, 32, was in the passenger seat.

The driver failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a 2013 Ford F250 pickup truck, the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office said.

The truck was driven by James Rochford, 54, of Tecumseh.

The minivan rolled several times before landing on its wheels, the sheriff's office said.

Heather Bailey had to be freed using the Jaws of Life. She and Matthew Bailey were transported to McKenzie Memorial Hospital for their injuries.

Rochford was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital.

The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
