CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A man has been charged after allegedly sparking a drunken car chase with officers.

The Clare County Sheriff’s Office was called to northbound US-127 near Clare on May 13 for reports of a silver van all over the road.

When deputies arrived and tried to stop the van, the suspect, Daniel Fraser, 36, from Warren, took off.

The chase lasted for about 10 miles before investigators say Fraser lost control and crashed near Cadillac and Surrey in Surrey Township.

Fraser was taken to the hospital and later released.

The charges are as followed: operating while intoxicated, flee and elude and driving while license was suspended.

He posted bond and has been released.
