Police say a car and purse thief has been captured in Grand Blanc.

It happened on May 22 at Tiffany’s Food & Spirits in Frankenmuth.

Investigators said the man was caught on security camera in a restricted area. He was caught going through coat pockets and taking a wallet and keys that belonged to an employee.

Paul Kennedy, 25, of Grand Blanc was later spotted in the parking lot getting into the employee’s truck and driving away.

"I just wanted some noodles," said Alexa Vanhine, victim.

Vanhine may never look at pasta the same way again. It was her craving for the dish that brought the waiter back to the break room at Tiffany's on Sunday.

She couldn't find her purse and her car keys were gone too.

"It was such an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. I wasn't hungry anymore. I didn't want my noodles," Vanhine said.

Her coworkers pulled up the surveillance video and Vanhine watched in horror as a man took her belongings.

It is unclear how he into the break room or if he was even a customer. The video showed the suspect leaving the scene in Vanhine's truck.

"Watching somebody take your stuff so casually, in a part that's supposed to be a safe room. It's an employees only room and it was just awful watching him just stuff it in his pocket and drive away with my truck," Vanhine said.

Business spokesperson Tracey Baker said the cameras were just installed.

"This guy better be in a hole somewhere because somebody is going to know him," Baker said.

Police said Kennedy used the victim's credit card at two other locations in Frankenmuth.

The stolen truck was located Saturday, June 11 in the Metro Detroit area and an unknown person was arrested.

Kennedy is facing five felony charges in Saginaw County, as well as five felony warrants out of Detroit.

He was transferred to the Saginaw County Jail.
