Traffic stop leads to arrest on drug charges

CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A traffic stop lead the arrest of two people on drug charges.

It happened on May 24 in Clare County.

Deputies stopped a green Chevrolet pick-up near Cranberry and Ball in Hayes Township for a traffic violation.

They then arrested the driver, 44-year-old Davalena Eckhout, and passenger 52-year-old Kathryn Kipp, both from Harrison.

Both have been charged with meth possession, 2nd offense and marijuana possession, 2nd offense.

Both are in the Clare County Jail.
