BURTON, MI (WNEM) -

A new ‘Blight Elimination Hotline’ is announced by Burton’s Mayor Paula K. Zelenko, in an increased effort to make the City of Burton cleaner and more attractive to residents and businesses alike.

Residents are invited to report code violations and eyesores to the Public Works Department in any of three ways:  call 810-742-9230, extension 3113, use the Citizen Request Tracker on the city website, or through a new Blight Elimination Email Hotline: cleanupburton@burtonmi.gov.

To accomplish this cleanup, some DPW staff have been shifted to code enforcement duties, with some crews working evenings and weekends on clean ups.
