Two men stabbed during drug deal

MIDLAND, MI (WNEM) -

Two men were stabbed Thursday during a drug deal gone bad.

Officers with the Midland Police Department were called to the 700 block of Rodd Street around 8:43 p.m. for reports of a robbery and stabbing.

The victim, a 31-year-old Midland man, told police a 23-year-old man and 24-year-old man tried to rob him during a drug deal. The victim told police he stabbed both men in self-defense.

The 23-year-old suspect was arrested for robbery. He was treated for his stab wound and released.

The 24-year-old suspect is in critical but stable condition at a Midland hospital.
