Two arrested for climbing water tower

Two men were arrested over the weekend after police found them climbing on top of a Sanilac County water tower.

Officers were called to the Village of Peck on Saturday, May 28 around 12:30 a.m.

When deputies arrived they found two men, ages 20 and 22, inside the fenced area of the water tower. Investigators found both men climbed up to the top but had safely climbed down before officers arrived.

Both men were taken into custody and are facing charges related to the incident.

Police said alcohol was a contributing factor.
