Kelly Fuhrman was holding back tears as she talked to TV5 about the memorial fountain that was stolen out of her yard.

The angel fountain was taken from her front yard at 255 North Van Buren, near the corner of 10th Street in Bay City.

“I couldn’t even move, I was like, frozen. I couldn’t believe it,” said Fuhrman.

The fountain was given to her 20-years-ago after the passing of her father.

“My dad taught for 30 years at the Bangor Schools. A lot of people knew who he was. This was bought for me by them, to honor him. My dad was everything to me. So I’ve taken this wherever I’ve moved to for 20 years.”

On Friday, the birdbath and 200-pound fountain on the memorial were stolen.

“It makes ya sick! It's like, why do people have to do something like that? It’s so cruel. It doesn’t make sense. People nowadays they think it's OK to do that.”

Fuhrman’s story has been shared more than 400 times on Facebook. She’s hoping with the help of police and the community she will get her fountain back. Something she says her dad would want as well.

“He’d want it given back. Because my dad was my best friend, and he knows how much it meant to me."

Two gazing balls were also stolen, but Fuhrman just wants the fountain back.

If you have any information, call the Bay City Department of Public Safety or Crime Stoppers.
