Victims in crash with cement mixer identified

Investigators have identified two people who died after an accident involving a cement mixer. 

It happened June 2, shortly before 11 a.m. at Pinnebog Road and Richardson Road in Huron County's Colfax Township.

A Ford Ranger failed to yield and pulled into the path of a cement mixer, the Huron County Sheriff's Office said.

Christopher Whisenant, 24, of Deford, and Audrie Dorsch,19, of Elkton, both passengers in the Ranger, died.

The driver, Andrew Trinity, 23, of Walled Lake, was taken to Huron Medical Center and then flown to a Saginaw hospital. At last check he was in serious condition.

The driver of the cement truck, Daniel Slocum,45 of Sebewaing, was not hurt.

The incident remains under investigation.
