GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A motorcycle rider has lost an arm and another person was also hurt after a piece of machinery fell off a truck onto the road in front of them.

It happened June 2 about6:30 p.m. on Grand Blanc Road in Genesee County’s Mundy Township.

Deputy Chief Rick Clolinger said a steel bucket from a Kubota tractor fell off a truck and into the path of a motorcycle rider and passenger.

Robert Parsall, the driver of the motorcycle, lost an arm from his injuries, Clolinger said. The passenger was Parsall's wife Cindy.

He remains hospitalized in critical condition. Cindy Parsall is in serious, but stable condition.

The couple is from Mundy Township.
