SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The arrival of summer weather signals the return of highway road construction to our area.

On Monday, June 6, Michigan Department of Transportation crews begin pavement repairs on approximately 13 miles of southbound I-75 from Birch Run Creek to I-475, in Saginaw and Genesee Counties.

Two lanes will be closed during daytime hours and possibly three lanes closed during overnight hours (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.)

Closure will occur in two-mile increments, with no closures expected on Sundays to accommodate peak travel times.

The project is a $2.2 million investment and the estimated completion date is September.
