Cone zone alerts for your commute this week

Posted: Updated:

Construction season continues and we have a few cone zone alerts for your commute this week.

On Monday, MDOT will repair concrete on 13 miles of I-75 in the southbound lanes from Birch Run Creek to I-475.

Crews will close up to two lanes during the day and three lanes over night.

The $2 million project is expected to last until September.

Drivers will be detoured from southbound lanes on I-475,.

The closure is from Atherton Road Exit to south of Bristol Road

Crews will be repairing a bridge in the area. It's expected to finish repairs by June 25.

Driving will also be a headache on part of M-46 over the next month between M-24 and M-53 in Tuscola and Sanilac counties as crews resurface the 15 mile segment.

It's expected to continue until sometime in July. Work will be completed in two mile segments.

Bay City

Starting Monday, crews will resurface much of Water Street in Bay City, between 3rd and 6th Streets.

All of those numbered streets will be torn up as well, west of Saginaw Street.

It's all part of the city's ongoing work to prepare for the Tall Ships Festival in July.

When it's all done, you can expect smoother roadways and more parking spaces.

There are also several closures in Saginaw.
