Fatherhood has long since abandoned its 1960s approach. Today, 60 percent of family households depend on two incomes.

A new report is taking a look at the best and worst states for working dads. Nearly 93 percent of dads with kids younger than 18 were employed in 2015, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The study was done by personal-finance website WalletHub.

It looked at work-life balance, health conditions, financial well-being and child-rearing environments for working dads.

The study showed Virginia has the highest median income for families, whereas Nevada has the highest unemployment rate for dads.
